Dani Mothci, CEO

Dani Mothci is our CEO and is responsible for the strategy and direction of IAPO.

Dani joined IAPO in 2016 to work on the membership portfolio and has since contributed to the active engagement of many of our existing and new members across all regions. She is well recognized in IAPO for her ‘touch-base’ approach with members trying to grasp their needs, interests and ideas and convert them into joint efforts and actions at regional and global levels. Her successful membership management later led her to manage Partnerships and International Collaborations, which became one of the key pillars of IAPO’s work with different stakeholders.

In August 2023, after the unhoped-for loss of our beloved CEO, Kawaldip Sehmi, Dani was appointed as IAPO Interim-CEO and in December 2023 she accepted the CEO position in full.

Dani is a social policy professional with experience in community development, co-production, policy design and implementation, capacity building, and project management. She has an MSc in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
