Since 2005, IAPO has held its biennial flagship Global Patients Congress (GPC) to celebrate and learn from the latest innovative landmark achievements made through patient engagement and co-creation in improving the availability, accessibility and acceptability of quality, safe and innovative medicines, health devices and healthcare services across the full spectrum of health care, from health promotion to prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care across the life course.
Our 10th Global Patients Congress will be held in Genève, Switzerland from 19-20 May 2023 over the weekend preceding the 76th World Health Assembly (WHA76). The theme is: Innovative patient partnerships at the heart of global health advancement.
The 10th GPC is the first opportunity we have had to meet face to face after a one-in-a-lifetime pandemic. The GPC is great platform to share with decision-makers that underinvestment, lack of patient engagement, and tolerance for other weaknesses in health systems, social protection, and public services has resulted in us all paying the price for the pandemic that was too high.
We invite you to collaborate with us by sponsoring the 10th GPC and bring together around 500 patient advocates from across the world and contribute over the two days into finding solutions on how we can through application of science, solidarity, patient engagement and smart policies build back a better global health ecosystem. A wider audience will be reached by broadcasting the event globally on various social media platforms. Our last broadcasts reached over 2000 patients.
