Through a competitive 2-stage selection process, we are granting up to U$ 1000 to IAPO Member organizations in Lower-middle and Low-income countries who have taken up the challenge posed by COVID-19 to support patients.
The first phase of the selection process was a thorough screening to check if candidates met the criteria to go through the second phase, where GPC 2020 delegates voted for the initiatives they believed deserved the grant the most.
The poll results were announced at the Congress Closing Ceremony and the five most voted proposals selected to receive the grant were:
- Sharecare Ghana (Ghana)
- Uganda Alliance of Patients' Organization - UAPO (Uganda)
- Save Liver - SLAP (North Macedonia)
- Patient and Community Welfare Foundation of Malawi - PAWEM (Malawi)
- Consumer Online Foundation (India)
However, in the spirit of inclusiveness, IAPO decided to award a grant to the other three candidates:
- Epilepsy Support Association Uganda (Uganda)
- Action Group for Health Human Rights and HIV/AIDS - AGHA (Uganda)
- National Community of Women Living with HIV in Uganda – NACWOLA (Uganda)
All initiatives are showcased below. By clicking on each organization logo, you'll be able to see a poster describing their proposal for the grant.
