This online event will serve as a milestone gathering to launch the Personalised Cancer Care Alliance Position Paper 2.0 which is an updated version that builds on the first Position Paper published in 2022. This newly updated position paper recognises that advocacy must move from theory to practice and highlights two pilot initiatives launched to test the recommendations from the first position paper in real-world contexts.

As a result, the Position Paper 2.0 marks a critical shift from conceptual advocacy to implementation-driven action, grounded in real-world evidence, lived experiences, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Speakers include:

  • Dani Mothci  - CEO, International Alliance of Patients’ Organizations
  • Hajar Gdader - Advocacy Strategy Lead, NABD-BC2 Association
  • Khaled Al-Saleh - Secretary General and Board Chair, Society for Smoking and Cancer Prevention
  • Dr. Reem Al-Ajloun - Director, Jordan Breast Cancer Program
  • Majed Mohamed - Head of Community Engagement & Advocacy Department, Friends of Cancer Patients
  • Dr. Heba Alsawahli - Consultant, WHO
  • Claire Lebled - EEMEA Regional Patient Engagement Lead, MSD

The Personalised Cancer Care Alliance (PCCA), an initiative by the International Alliance of Patients’ Organizations (IAPO), aims to put patient voices at the forefront of healthcare transformation in cancer care. Since its launch in 2022, PCCA has served as a dynamic platform bringing together cancer patients, caregivers, and patient organisation leaders across the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region to advance personalised, equitable, and participatory care.

We would be delighted for you to join us for the launch and be part of this shared moment of reflection, recognition and next steps.
