Martha Herrera is a Social Communicator and Journalist by training, and holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management, a Master’s degree in Rare Diseases, specialising in Health Economics and Management, International Project Management, Public Policy and Management, and Health Administration. 

She serves as Executive Director of FUNCOLEHF (Colombian Foundation for Rare Diseases), INSPIRAT, and the Colombian Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis. 

Martha has 23 years of experience in rare disease advocacy and public health policy in Colombia, a journey that began after the loss of her son to a rare disease — a deeply personal experience that became the foundation of her life’s work.
