IAPO at 77th session for the WHO Regional Committee for Western Pacific

The 77th WHO Western Pacific Regional Committee Session took place in Manila from 19-22 October 2026, where IAPO was represented by Josef De Guzmanand, and Dom Delos Santos III from Psoriasis Philippines. 

During this event, IAPO submitted individual statements on both Agenda Item 9 - 'Artificial Intelligence'. This statement shared three asks on the topic including data sovereignty and privacy protections, establishing mechanisms for patient and community participation in the governance of health data, and ensuring the Region's priorities feed into the next Global Digital Health Strategy (2028–2033), as well as Agenda Item 13 - 'Ministerial Roundtable on Regional Health Essential Stockpile and Pooled Procurement Mechanism'.
