IAPO launches new toolkit on biosimilar medicines

As we celebrate the Global Biosimilars Week 2024 taking place on11–15 November 2024 themed "Advancing Access to Biosimilars", we’re excited to introduce a new toolkit designed to empower patient organisations and advocates to lead the conversation on biosimilar medicines.

Our Toolkit to Become an Informed Patient: Deciphering the World of Biosimilar Medicines equips patient organisations with essential insights into the science, regulatory landscape, and benefits of biosimilars. In today’s rapidly advancing healthcare environment, biosimilar medicines present sustainable solutions by lowering treatment costs and broadening access to advanced therapies. However, understanding and acceptance vary widely across regions, highlighting the need for clear, accessible information.

Focused on patient empowerment, the toolkit provides accessible, user-friendly materials to help advocates engage in health policy, support patient communities, and promote patient-centred healthcare. Whether advocating for equitable access or helping patients make informed choices, this toolkit fosters trust and engagement throughout the healthcare journey.
