The Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) has established the celebration of International Thalassaemia Day (ITD) each year on May 8th!

In 2022, the global theme “Be Aware. Share. Care’” aims to bring together all the members of the global thalassaemia community, and is an open call to action to all supporters to promote awareness about thalassaemia and its global impact and share essential information and knowledge to support the best possible health, social and other care of affected patients.
