World Psoriasis Day

World Psoriasis Day is an annual day specially dedicated to people with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.

Conceived by patients for patients, World Psoriasis Day is a truly global event that sets out to give an international voice to the 125 million people with psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis. The theme for this year's Day is 'Breaking Barriers for People with Psoriasis'.


The day aims to raise awareness about psoriasis, encourage healthcare decision makes to  give psoriasis suffers better access to the most appropriate therapies for their condition, deliver relevant information and knowledge to interested parties and provide a patient voice platform.


On October 29th International Federation of Psoriasis Association, IFPA its members associations and support groups will be carrying out activities all over the world to raise awareness about psoriasis and give people with psoriasis the attention and consideration they deserve. The events will be wide ranging, from awareness walks, free dermatology sessions in hospitals through to holding public lectures.


At the core of the campaign this year is a colourful animated film that tells the story of how IFPA wants to fight the barriers of prejudice, stigma and discrimination. Watch the video here and sign up to the Thunderclap.
