We welcome our new Research and Policy Officer

We are pleased to welcome Antonio Ciaglia to IAPO as our new Policy and Research Officer. Antonio will primarily be working on the Get Real project.  

Get Real

Get Real sees policy and decision-makers in European industry, research and development, regulation and health system agencies working together with patients and health professionals. The project is researching and testing a variety of ways that evidence - about how different patients respond to medicines in real life - could add value to evidence gained from randomised clinical trials that show whether different medicines work and are safe under very controlled circumstances.

We are just over half way through the project now and with Antonio on-board, IAPO will be able to deliver some patient-led work to tease out how what different patients consider important when participating in activities that help to develop new and innovative treatments.
