Dr. Neda Milevska Kostova, Regional Ambassador

Dr. Neda Milevska Kostova is a public health researcher, health policy expert, and patient advocate with over two decades of experience spanning Europe, Asia and the global health arena. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Sheffield, UK and has been awarded the title of Primarius by the Minister of Health of N.Macedonia for her exceptional contributions to advancing health systems and policies. She is President of the Studiorum think tank in Skopje and President of the Patients for Patient Safety Observatory in Geneva. 

As a postdoctoral fellow on patient engagement in infectious diseases at Radboudumc, the Netherlands and a Chair of the AMR Patient Alliance, she works on effective antimicrobial stewardship implementation through public awareness raising and patient education initiatives.

Her past work was published in over 90 scientific papers, book chapters and policy briefs.  

Dr. Milevska Kostova now joins IAPO as a Regional Ambassador, working to amplify patient voices from the ground up and ensure that the priorities of patient organisations meaningfully shape global health policy - including IAPO's preparatory work towards the 2027 UN High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage.
