On behalf of Alianza Latina and the International Alliance of Patients’ Organizations (IAPO) we are honored to invite you to attend a jointly held multi-stakeholder seminar entitled, ‘Increasing the patient voice in drug regulatory authorities.’

This meeting will provide an opportunity for debates with a variety of healthcare stakeholders, including patients’ organizations, drug regulatory authorities, academia, industry, policy-makers, and healthcare providers on how patient engagement at all stages of regulation can ensure safe and timely access to treatments, and ultimately achieve universal health coverage (UHC). The seminar will also focus on global, regional and national level activities on biological and biosimilar medicines.

The meeting will take place on Saturday 23 August 2014 from 14.00-18.30 at the Hotel Windsor Florida, Rio de Janeiro (http://windsorhoteis.com.br/hotel/windsor-florida/apresentacao/) and will be held in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Following this we hope you will join us in continuing our discussions during an evening reception at 18.30.
