The 2021 Asia Pacific Patients Innovation Summit (APPIS) is a three-day virtual event co-created by a steering committee comprised of patient group leaders and Novartis. The event aims to support the evolving capability needs of patient organizations in Asia Pacific and beyond.

The event is organised as a series of interactive sessions for 3 hours each day, where delegates will hear from expert speakers and learn about best practices in patient advocacy. The agenda will cover important topics for building a strong patient community including sustainable funding, multi-stakeholder partnership, policy shaping, clinical trials engagement  and more.

Not limited to the 3-day event, APPIS will provide you with opportunity to continue learning and stay engaged, offering a virtual platform of capability programs to elevate your respective capabilities and take your organization to the next level throughout 2021!

The APPIS Initiative focuses on partnering with the patient community to address common challenges faced by patient organizations and enable deep-dive discussions around local needs so that the patient community can be better equipped and be more impactful in the healthcare system.

This initiative is championed by a Steering Committee - comprised of five regional patient organization leaders along with two Novartis representatives - that works to design and deliver the content of a continuing capability program for patient organizations:

• International Federation of Psoriasis Associations (IFPA)
• Rare Cancers Australia (RCA)
