Reshaping Healthcare: Thinking Differently After COVID

COVID-19 has exposed the inadequacy of healthcare systems around the world and brought public attention and condemnation down on government and private institutions alike. The lack of preparedness points to systemic inefficiencies, misappropriation of resources, and, particularly in the United States, the effects of making healthcare a for-profit business. But, the pressure of COVID offers an opportunity to reshape healthcare in ways that were impossible just a few months ago. Perhaps, this pandemic will be the impetus for change, for a reassessment of what healthcare is, and what it can be.
