World Alzheimer's Day

2 out of every 3 people globally believe there is little or no understanding of dementia in their countries. The impact of World Alzheimer's day is growing, but the stigmatisation and misinformation that surrounds dementia remains a global problem, that requires global action.
This day is therefore a call to people with dementia, their carers and family, medical professionals, researchers and the media from all around the world to educate and challenge people's misconceptions about dementia.
September 2017 will mark the 6th global World Alzheimer's Month, and will utilise the theme of 'Remember me' to highlight the importance of early detection and diagnosis of dementia.
