World Psoriasis Day

Sunday, 29 October 2017

World Psoriasis Day is dedicated to people living with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis. The day aims to raise awareness of this disease and increase knowledge of the effect it has on people’s lives. Psoriasis affects over 125 million people around the world – not just physically, but also socially, emotionally and financially. The day is set aside to facilitate the spread of information about psoriasis to dispel common myths and answer questions. Lastly the day aims to create an opportunity for lobbying to give people with psoriasis better access to appropriate, affordable treatment by specifically addressing key health decision-makers like national governments, policy-makers and healthcare providers.
