Online biosimilar platform launching soon

In the coming weeks IAPO will be launching IAPO Americas.

IAPO Americas is an online platform which provides patients’ organizations from across the region of Latin America with up-to-date, evidence-based information on the science, technology and regulatory information relevant to biological and biosimilar medicines. It also offers a platform for discussions and debates on current issues relating to patient engagement on this issue, ensuring the patient voice is amplified. 

The platform is designed to be accessible for everyone and will be available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.  

Keeping patients' organizations informed

In the past decade there have been many developments in biological and biosimilar medicines, with biosimilar medicines coming to market in a number of countries. This raises the need for patients’ organizations and patients to be informed about the situation and what it means for them.

Rebecca Johnson, Partnerships Manager of IAPO, said:

We hope these resources will allow patient advocates to make informed judgments on the value of biological and biosimilar medicines and to actively engage in debate and discussion with other stakeholders involved in healthcare.
