Thanking Durhane and Robert
Durhane has served on the Board since 2007 and Robert since 2010. They will step down from their positions at the end of July 2016.
Dear Durhane,
It has been an honour and pleasure to serve on the IAPO Board with you these past years. You have shared your knowledge, energy and drive with us to ensure that the vision of IAPO remains strong. I have enjoyed working with you, getting to know you and the work that you do in Canada with rare diseases.
Your passion for moving the agenda forward, not just IAPO but in all the work that you have done over the years, is unmatched. Opening your home and heart to two children with special needs has clearly demonstrated your compassion and commitment as an extraordinary person. Thank you for your dedication and service to IAPO. I wish you the very best as you move on to your next adventure. I do hope that you will remain an active member of IAPO.
Dear Robert,
Thank you for selflessly and willingly giving your time and talent to IAPO over the years.
You have been a dedicated member to IAPO, bringing the voice of the patient to all our members and showing them what it means to take part in decisions about their healthcare.
You have overcome much in your own life and are an inspiration to all of us to see how hard you work for what you believe in. Robert, it has been an honour to work with you, and I see that your passion is everything you do. I will miss you at our board meetings but hope that you will remain a part of IAPO. Thank you for all you have done!
