Announcing IAPO's Interim-CEO

Monday, 11 September 2023

As we continue to come to terms with the passing of our dear Kawaldip Sehmi, the Board of IAPO appointed Dani Mothci to be the organisation’s Interim-CEO on 4th August 2023.

Dani joined IAPO in 2016 to work on the membership portfolio, and has since contributed to the active engagement of many of our existing and new members across all regions. She is well recognized in IAPO for her ‘touch-base’ approach with members trying to grasp their needs, interests and ideas and convert them into joint efforts and actions at regional and global level. Her successful membership management has led to her recent position of Manager of Partnerships and International Collaborations as one of the key pillars of IAPO’s work with different stakeholders.

With the recent changes in IAPO, she bravely takes this new challenge, which the Board unanimously entrusted her with. Her professionalism and diligence in working with patient organisations and enthusiasm about patient advocacy are exemplary, and we are proud that IAPO can rely on these qualities and values in the coming period. With our plans to intensify the implementation of IAPO’s Strategy 2022-2024, we hope these will serve as a template and warranty for the growing IAPO community and supporters, in our joint aspiration for achieving patient-centred healthcare for everyone worldwide.
