IAPO present at the 6th Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety in Chile

IAPO was invited to speak at one of the workshop sessions of the 6th Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety held in April 2024 in Santiago, Chile.
Titled "Synergies and Partnerships to Improve Patient Safety: How to Support the Implementation of the Global Patient Safety Action Plan and Its Sustainability," the workshop was chaired by Mr. Abdulelah Alhawsawi, Senior Advisor to the Saudi Patient Safety Center, and Ms. Blanca Peñaloza, PAHO advisor, and delved into experiences, challenges, and national collaborative achievements on patient safety.
The Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety convenes healthcare leaders, policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from around the world to address critical issues related to patient safety. This high-level summit provides a platform for collaborative discussions, sharing of best practices, and the development of strategies to enhance patient safety on a global scale.
Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, participants engage in dialogue aimed at fostering innovation, improving healthcare systems, and ultimately, reducing patient harm. The summit plays a vital role in driving forward the patient safety agenda, shaping policies, and catalyzing action to ensure safer and more effective healthcare delivery worldwide.
