What was achieved?
The Alliance for Patients’ Mutual Help Organizations, a network of 42 patients’ organizations who have been advocating for patient-centred healthcare in the Western Pacific. Using IAPO publications as advocacy tools the Alliance have achieved:
- Changes to stop smoking and vaccination policy
- Tightened regulations on unregistered drugs
- Patient representatives on government committees
