Highlights from Patient Solidarity Day 2016

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making Patient Solidarity Day such a strong celebration. 172 organizations from 44 countries came together to call for patient-centred universal health coverage to become a reality for all by 2030. Through health screenings, conferences, lobbying health ministers, radio shows, community health dissemination sessions, social media campaigns and much more, patients and advocates from all six continents shouted out the call for no-one to be left behind.

Resources and materials

IAPO produced a pack of resources and materials to help members and other patient advocates build strong campaigns and activities for the Day.  This included a handbook with key messages and ideas for different activities, an articles and press releases, graphics, posters and banners. We designed the resources to be simple, adaptable and easily to replicate. Many organizations printed banners, posters and fliers with the logo and slogan to advertise their events. Others adapted the resources to make the campaign their own.
