The International Hospital Federation (IHF) is the unique international organization representing the decision makers leading the healthcare sector.
IHF is the worldwide forum and knowledge hub for hospitals, national hospital associations and healthcare organizations that offers policy guidance and facilitates the exchange of strategic information and experience in health sector management.
The primary goal of IHF is to improve the health of society by helping worldwide hospitals to improve the level of the services they deliver to the population. IHF is an independent, not for profit, non-governmental organization based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Working together
IAPO and IHF work together in a number of areas through a Memorandum of Understanding. IHF publishes a quarterly journal called 'World Hospitals and Health Services'. We recently collaborated together on a joint edition on patient engagement with hospitals (see below).
